Toll Mining Services specialises in designing and implementing innovative supply chain solutions including customised fit-for-purpose equipment for the mining industry.
These solutions are based on a strong customer focus to ensure we fully understand and fulfil our customers’ needs. This is combined with a Safety Management System that can be integrated into our customers’ systems to ensure both their standards and ours are met.
Toll Mining Services also offer chemical logistics principally specialising in inbound and outbound dangerous goods and chemical logistics solutions for the hard rock and coal mining industries.

Customer Business Activity
BHP Billiton − Cannington Project
- Loading, haulage, stockpiling, train loading and facilities management; including the haulage of 630,000 tonnes p/a of lead and zinc concentrates from Cannington Mine to the purpose built Yurbi storage and rail loading facility
- Haulage with AAB quad road trains achieving up to 100T payload per unit 24/7, 365 days per year
BC Iron
- Haulage of iron ore from BC Iron mine at Nullagine (140km north of Newman, WA) along a 55km haul road to FMG’s Christmas Creek Stockpile – using specialised off road equipment up to 360t payload
Rio Tinto
- Haulage of salt from Dampier Salt’s Port Hedland operation to the ship loading facility at Port Hedland using specially treated triple road trains.
- Transportation of Alumina and Petroleum Coke feed stock as required annually, and a significant proportion of finished product is also transported, containerised and railed to meet shipping requirements for export
Wesfarmers Resources
- Top of pit load/haulage at Curragh Mine of approximately 2.5mpta of raw coal from seven open cut mining operations to the ROM/CHPP with distances varying from 4km to 11km.
Xstrata Coal
- Surface contract at Oaky Creek Underground Mine to haul reject coal directly from the CHPP to in pit reject dumps and placed for rehabilitation. This work also incorporates pit management, road maintenance, rubbish removal from mine portal dumps, and general surface civil works including sweeping, water blasting and de-silting of lagoons and drainage channels.
Orica, Dyno and EDI Downer
- Transportation of Ammonium Nitrate, Emulsion Phase and Cyanide distribution throughout Australia for over 30 years, involving a significant amount of intermodal road/rail movements and operations in regional and remote areas across Australia delivering products to site
Whitehaven Coal – Gunnedah Operations
- All the raw coal haulage for Whitehaven’s Gunnedah CHPP which amounts to 3.2mtpa from four sites ranging from 15 to 43km distance
- Haulage is performed on public roads utilising B-Double side tipper configurations
- Additional services include haulage of finished product to regional customers, rejects, water, tailings and gravel
